MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. – The Mecklenburg County GOP is apologizing for a tweet they sent out a few hours ago.

The photo displays the head of the North Carolina NAACP, William Barber, and calls him the "Grand Wizard"

That title has significant racial overtones associated with the KKK.

The tweet has now been deleted.

The Party Chairman called it ‘disgusting’. The Technology Chairman who sent the tweet has been asked to resign.
