STANLEY, N.C. – Stanley Police arrested a Gastonia man after he used a stun gun during a home invasion.
The incident happened Friday on Bennington Drive around 7 p.m. According to officials, Raymond Phillips entered the victim's home carrying a stun gun and demanded money.
Officials say Phillips threatened the victim with the stun gun as he made off with $30, a cell phone, and credit cards.
Police were able to make an arrest after the victim convinced him to return the cell phone under the guise of more money.
Investigators were able to recover items belonging to the victim. Phillips is being charged with first degree burglary and robbery with a dangerous weapon.
Law enforcement say the victim and suspect knew each other.
