Air quality 'clear' after chemical threat at WalMart

MOORESVILLE, N.C. -- Authorities and emergency officials evacuated a Mooresville WalMart on Wednesday after a reported threat at the store.

Authorities said the store received an anonymous phone call around 8:15 a.m. from a person threatening to release a chemical substance in the store.

A hazmat team was called to the store to investigate the situation.

Shoppers and employees were evacuated while crews investigate inside the store.

The store will remained closed until authorities gave the all clear. Employees were allowed to re-enter the store around 12:20.
