CHARLOTTE, N.C.— Investigators are working to identify a pedestrian hit and killed by a van Thursday night in northeast Charlotte.
It happened around 8:20 p.m. on North Tryon Street near Pavillion Boulevard.
Police say the victim was wearing dark clothing and walking in a lane of travel when he was struck by a Time Warner Cable van. The man was thrown about 70 feet, police say.
This crash is still under investigation. There's no word if the driver will be charged.
