CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Speed Street is the first big, open event in uptown since the Boston bombings and police are adjusting some elements of their security.

They are not saying how many officers will be patrolling the streets, but plenty were spotted Friday afternoon.

CMPD says police need people to report anything unusual.
