Police investigate deadly stabbing

CHARLOTTE, N.C.-- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating a deadly stabbing on the city's west side.

Police say there received a call around 5 p.m. Saturday night saying a man and woman were in a fight.

When they arrived they found a the man stabbed.

Based on information from witnesses at the scene, police believe the 17 year-old girl stabbed the man during the fight between the two.

The woman has been taken into custody and is currently being questioned by police.

Police are not releasing any names at this point, until the next of kin has been notified.

This incident is still under investigation.
