CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A sting operation that started in September, netted over a dozen arrests.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police conducted an undercover drug and gun buying campaign on Albermarle Road and Farm Pond Lane corridor. Officials said the community was concerned about open air drug activity in the area.
Law enforcement said these arrests are the first in a wave of more to come. Their efforts helped to take 1,300 grams of meth off the streets in addition to 206 grams of cocaine.
Officials arrested and charged 15 suspects with various charges.
