CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Officials are investigating a school bus accident that happened on Monday afternoon.

First responders were called to the intersection of Park and Marsh Roads shortly before 3 p.m.  Medic tells NBC Charlotte they're treating one patient with minor injuries.  First responders said there were no injuries from the bus.

A spokesman with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said the school bus was full of students at the time of the crash.

School officials transported students from the bus involved in the accident to a substitute bus while authorities investigated the incident.

On the scene, a passenger car parked behind the bus had heavy passenger rear damage.
