KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – A man was arrested by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police after a Kannapolis Homicide investigation.
In a press release sent to NBC Charlotte, officials said they arrested Logan Porter Brown Monday for his involvement in the shooting death of Casey Ray Wilkinson.
Over the weekend, police arrested a second suspect, Demarcus Rashad Chambers, 24, and charged him with murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon. He is in Cabarrus County jail with no bond.
Brown and Chambers are accused of killing 21-year-old Wilkinson.
"We have a basic idea and we are still working on who knew who - because several others were involved," said Kannapolis Police Captain Patrick Patty.
"None of the released names earlier lived at the apartment and was leased to another. We do know what the dispute was over, however not going to release at this time."
Officials are asking anyone with additional information in the case to call 704-920-4000 or Crime Stoppers at 704-932-7463 (CRIME).
