YORK COUNTY, S.C. -- A local pawn shop was caught selling counterfeit goods, authorities say.

York County Sheriff's Deputies raided the Palmetto Pawn Shop on Old York Road.

Inside they found dozens of fake NFL and NBA jerseys, as well as other high end clothes from brands like True Religion and Versace.

Trent Faris of the York County Sheriff’s Office warns, “Buyer beware! Because you may be looking at a jersey-- some of these are nice jerseys, like a Cam Newton jersey, and it looked nice on the outside.”

Counterfeiting charges are pending against the owner of the shop.

NBC Charlotte went by the store Tuesday, but it was closed.
