CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Travelers heading northeast out of Charlotte Monday morning should call their airlines to make sure their flights have not been delayed or cancelled.
Airports that were closed this weekend are now open. Dulles, Philadelphia and Baltimore airports are all open for at least limited operations, but there are still dozens of cancelled flights from each of the cities today. Meanwhile, Reagan is completely closed until at least 10 a.m.
Since planes and crews are stuck in the northeast, that's messing up flights to even warmer, snow free destinations like Florida.
"I was told that we were delayed, we were going to be delayed until 4 o'clock because we didn't have enough crew," said Jena Edwards who is flying to Florida. "I'm just assuming from what people are telling me that it's weather related."
A lot of travelers are out a lot of money because of this and even some football fans missed the Super Bowl after their flight was cancelled.
