LANCASTER, S.C. – South Carolina Highway Patrol are investigating a three vehicle crash.

The accident happened Friday afternoon, around 2:20 p.m. near the Lancaster Air Rail Park. Highway Patrol tells NBC Charlottle, three SUVs were involved.

Authorities say the driver a Taurus was traveling westbound when the driver hit a Ford SUV head on and then sidswipped a 1966 Chevy.

The drivers of the SUV and Taurus were flown to CMC Main.  The driver of the Chevy was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Officials said the highway is split in the area so west bound traffic is not impacted by the crash.

No word yet on charges.
