CHARLOTTE, N.C. --The man who caused an alert at the University North Carolina Charlotte on Friday night is facing several charges.
Friday, UNCC Police sent out an alert to students saying that a suspect was “involved in a dispute with another subject while playing basketball. Multiple witnesses stated that they did not see a pistol however the victim stated there was a dark pistol.”
The alert was sent campus-wide in an email to students and staff.
Officials say Adrian Young ,28, drove off from the scene but surrendered a short time later.
Young is charged with assault, damage to personal property and communicating threats.
