MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. – The Highway Patrol has charged a woman after she ran into a tractor-trailer Saturday.
The accident happened on I-77 northbound around 1:47 p.m. near Davidson. According to troopers, Tanya Curtis, 37, swerved off the road --over corrected and crashed into a tractor-trailer. The collision sent Curtis' van into the guardrail.
The accident shut down north and south bound lanes of traffic as Med Center Air landed to take Curtis to the hospital.
Curtis is being charged with reckless driving and driving without a license. According to troopers, she is expected to recover from her injuries.
