Amazon has unveiled “Prime Air,” a drone delivery system that they promise will get packages into customers’ hands in 30 minutes or less.

CEO Jeff Bezos made the announcement in a "60 Minutes" interview Sunday night with Charlie Rose.

A YouTube video shows the process of taking a package from warehouse to drone to the front door of a customer.

Amazon predicts that Prime Air “vehicles” one day will be as normal as seeing delivery trucks on the road is today.

The company says they hope new FAA rules for unmanned aerial vehicles will be in place by 2015.

“Safety will be our top priority, and our vehicles will be built with multiple redundancies and designed to commercial aviation standards,” Amazon said.
