DALLAS (AP) -- American Airlines says its reservations systems isn't working and it's trying to fix the problem.
The airline tweeted about the mishap on Tuesday and promised an update as soon as the system was operating again. American did not immediately return a call for comment and more details.
American is the nation's third-biggest airline by passenger traffic. American and parent AMR Corp. have been operating under bankruptcy protection since November.
