LANCASTER, S.C. -- An arrest has been made in a string of larcenies across Lancaster.

Last Thursday, the Lancaster County Sheriff's Office arrested 18-year-old Altonio Huntley in connection with a string of larcenies from Cook's Transmission in the 100 block of Twilight Road.

That evening, a deputy found Huntley hiding behind a boat on the property while conducting routine patrol.

After further investigation, authorities tied Huntley to several previous larcenies at the business.

He now faces five counts of breaking and entering into an automobile, three an incident on November 14 where three vehicles' batteries were stolen, one from an October 23 incident where a DVD player, DVDs and video screens were taken from a vehicle and the last for stolen stereo equipment from a burglarized vehicle on October 3. Huntley also faces two counts of damaging or tampering with a vehicle.

Huntley is held in the Lancaster County Detention Center on a $36,000 bond.
