CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A new report is shedding light on expenditures during the Democratic National Convention last month in Charlotte.
The Democratic National Convention Committee expenditures were $7.9 million, the report shows. The Foo Fighters were paid 147,450.09 for its performance, according to the 547-page Federal Election Commission form.
The Convention Center was paid more than $70,000 during the convention for its services. Several hotels and event service companies were also mentioned in the report for lodging, transportation and catering expenses. The Westin in uptown Charlotte, for example, was paid $61,009.29 for its services, tops among area hotels.
The DNCC was required to submit a report of receipts and disbursements for a committee or organization supporting a nominating convention.
ADP Inc. topped the list, receiving 38 payments totaling $929,894.46. Event Transportation ($568,000) and Levy Restaurant ($376,988.71) came in second and third, respectively.
