MOORESVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- Home-improvement retailer Lowe's Companies Inc. announced Friday that it has added Richard Dreiling, the CEO of Dollar General Corp., to its board.
Lowe's said Dreiling will serve on the board's audit and governance committees. The addition of Dreiling brings the size of Lowe's board of directors to 12 members.
Dreiling, 58, has been CEO of Dollar General since 2008 and help lead it through its initial public offering in 2009.
Lowe's operates more than 1,725 home-improvement stores in the United States, Canada and Mexico. It is based in Mooresville, N.C.
