NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) -- One of the largest shopping centers being built in North Myrtle Beach in recent years is taking shape.

The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reports (http://bit.ly/1bmx4pj ) the Coastal North Town Center will open late this year.

The shopping center is located on the site of an old golf course that closed more than a decade ago and sat empty until the shopping complex was announced.

The new shopping center will have 10 restaurants. It will be about a month until developers announce which restaurants will be located there.

Developers announced earlier that the complex would have a number of stores including Hobby Lobby, Publix and Dick's Sporting Goods.
