FORT MILL, S.C. -- A company that was once located in south Charlotte broke ground Tuesday in South Carolina on a new facility.
Gov. Mark Sanford was on hand to welcome Red Ventures.
The company is building a 90,000-square-foot operation that will accommodate 1,000 employees.
Red Ventures was lured to South Carolina by lower taxes and incentives. Sanford said the groundbreaking was a reason for celebration.
"What we're celebrating is a remarkable investment that will make a different in people's lives in South Carolina," Sanford said. "We're celebrating jobs that will make a difference in people's lives. We're celebrating the confidence that you have in the workforce of our state."
The facility is expected to open by March 2011.
