YORK COUNTY, S.C. -- A woman whose husband was killed in an accident at a paper plant last week is blaming the company for the man's death.

“He was kind, loving, a great father..all he wanted to do was take care of his family,” Jessica Storey says about her husband Samir.

A clearly heartbroken Jessica Storey talks about losing her husband last week after an accident at a paper plant in York County where he'd just started work.

“My family right now is traumatized-- were empty, I feel crippled without him...I don’t know how we’re going to be able to move on without my husband,” Storey said.

Samir and his cousin Jermel were working side by side at Resolute Forest Products when Storey and two others became trapped in the massive tank they were working on.

“My cousin, he screamed...ah...the first guy got out, the second we pulled him out...the doors shut,” Jermel said.

Jermel says he couldn't get to his cousin-- says Samir was left suspended, dangling in his harness inside the tank, and Jermel claims no one at the plant did anything to help save Samir.

“I was asking for help and I didnt see nobody moving to help my cousin; I felt helpless,” he said.

NBC Charlotte tried to get comment from Resolute, but were told only that the company is conducting their own investigation and has no comment.

The Storeys have hired an attorney and plan to file suit.

Just last year four workers were burned there when some equipment malfunctioned. And back in 2000 two workers were killed in an explosion at the plant.

We checked with OSHA and they say an investigation could take up to two months.
