Woman charged with arson on West Charlotte apartment

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police charged a woman in connection to an apartment building fire that took place in the 2700 block of Old Steele Creek Road.

CMPD assisted Charlotte Fire in taking down the fire around 5 p.m. Friday evening. There were people inside the apartment building at the time but no one was injured from the fire. CMPD said the incident took place following an argument between people that knew each other. 

Rose Davis, 53, of Charlotte, was charged with first degree arson and malicious use of explosive or incendiary.
