Chattanooga bus crash victim relative: 'Y'all pray for my nephew'

Family members have started to release the names of the young victims from the deadly Chattanooga school bus crash.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WXIA) -- A heartfelt message from the uncle of a boy injured in a Chattanooga school bus crash has gone viral.

Darius Ward posted the message on Tuesday saying, "Y'all pray for my lil nephew. He was in the accident on the school bus yesterday. He has a broken leg, broken rib, and Internal bleeding in his lungs. Doctors say he's not gonna make it but I know my God is stronger than the words of a doctor. Please pray for my family and the families of all the little ones that were lost already."

As of Wednesday afternoon, the post has been liked more than 82,000 times and shared more than 77,000 times.

Five children were killed, 12 children were hospitalized and the remaining 20 students went home to their families, according to Hamilton County Superintendent Kirk Kelly.

The bus driver, 24-year-old Johnthony Walker, has been arrested and charged with five counts of vehicular homicide, reckless endangerment, and reckless driving.
