CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- We're looking out for you by tracking those high gas prices at the pump.
The current average in Charlotte has fallen two cents since last week at this time. Drivers in the Queen City are paying $3.75 a gallon-- that's the same as the national average, and that's also consistent with what people are paying across the state.
In South Carolina, because the taxes are less, you can buy a gallon of regular unleaded for about $3.56.
When gas prices spiked like this a few years ago, a lot of people changed their driving habits, this time, though, they've changed their attitude.
