Six spots to see free family movies this summer (and maybe get free popcorn too)
Many locations in the Charlotte area offer free, or very cheap, family movies in the summer. Here are a few choices.
There will be free movies at Freedom Park the 2nd Friday of every summer month, at dusk. Free popcorn too, and door prizes. Check the schedule.
Every Saturday evening in Stumptown Park in Matthews, there will be either a free family movie, or a free concert. There are often additional kids activities before the movie too. This Saturday they'll be showing Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Remaining Schedule.
North Mecklenburg Park in Huntersville will be showing free movies the 4th Friday of every summer month. In addition to the free movie, there will be free soft drinks, popcorn, icy pops, and glow necklaces. Schedule.
