CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- When I first heard about Splenda adding things like fiber and nutrition supplements to their sweetener, I thought they were nuts.  But after awhile, I figured, hey, why not?  If it helps some folks get their vitamins, then so be it!

Splenda Essentials is offering up sample packets here.  They include vitamins or antioxidants-- limit two samples per household.

When you sign up for various restaurant newsletters, they’ll often send you a freebie, and then perhaps an offer for a discounted or free item on your birthday.  Pizza Hut is offering free breadsticks when you join their email list.  I personally—along with a lot of deals bloggers—open separate email accounts just for newsletters and offers like this so they don’t clog up our regular emails.

For today only, Men’s Journal at Tanga.com is on sale for just $2.50 for an entire year’s subscription.  You’ll need to enter the coupon code JOURNAL during checkout in order to take the price down from $19.99 to $2.50.  You should see the number of magazines we get at our house now thanks to free, or near free subscriptions.  It’s to the point I take the extras and leave them at the YMCA or library to share.

Over at Starbucks, there’s an offer running through July 17 where if you buy their new Iced Via coffee—their instant coffee line—you’ll get a free tall drink.  Anybody who goes to Starbucks knows their coffee isn’t the cheapest, so this could be a good offer if you already wanted to buy the Iced Via.

Also, don’t forget your coupon for a free order of Panda Express Garlic Lovers Chicken with any purchase, today only.

And have you heard of Vocalpoint?  One of my co-workers and friends here at the station, Michelle, is a Vocalpoint member and told me she got an entire free bag of salad last night!

Vocalpoint is a focus group, word-of-mouth, review site where you join for free, and then blog and talk about products and services.  For example, members recently got free Venus Breeze Razors (valued at what, over 5 bucks, right?) to try out and review.  Check it out at www.vocalpoint.com.

You know the deal—don’t forget to check the fine print of all deals, and remember they’re subject to change at any time, or run out.  As with any restaurant coupon or deal, it’s a good idea to call your location ahead of time in order to make sure that particular store is participating.  Enjoy and see you on TV at 4pm and 5:30pm!
