For the past few weeks we've been talking about the high price of groceries. Many of you on Facebook have commented, saying you'd like to start gardening or you'll continue planting seeds to provide food for your family at a reasonable price.
This being said, I searched for some free seeds and found a way for everyone to get THREE free kinds of basil seeds to plant in the garden this spring.
This link takes you to an heirloom tomato site. You can check out their heirloom tomatoes and when you sign up for their email newsletter, you'll have an opportunity to sign up for the free basil seeds. The two go hand-in-hand, and who knows, maybe pick up some tomato seeds too, add in some fresh mozzarella and balsamic vinegar and bada bing. Bargain caprese salad.
Speaking of tomatoes, does anyone put sugar on their tomatoes and eats 'em like an apple? My mother did this growing up and I thought it made no sense whatsoever, until I tried it myself. I found a sugar substitute, made of a natural sweetener. The product is here: http://soooosweet.com/ and it's called "Sooo Sweet." You can imagine what it tastes like…uh…sweet!
Next, I found two free samples, a shampoo and conditioner mini set from Erik Prautsch's line Smooth Smooth. You'll get two mini bottles by signing up here: http://erik-prautsch.com/smoothsmooth_sample.php
Enjoy the day and Happy St. Patty's!
