CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Today’s theme is getting freebies through couponing.
The straight-out mail-away freebies are sparse today since it’s the day after Labor Day. The Sunday before Labor Day usually means no manufacturer’s coupons in the paper either.
After years of doing stories with extreme couponers, I’ve learned to closely watch what size a coupon is good for. Sometimes there is no restriction. This means a high valued coupon, plus a low cost product equals a freebie…or near freebie.
Check it out:
Simply Lemonade has a new coupon at www.coupons.com for $1 off any size. You can sometimes find these in mini single serving sizes for about a buck, making this either free, or nearly free.
This coupon is for Aquafresh Extreme Clean. Print out this $1 coupon, and if there’s no size restriction, you can often find the travel sized tube in the travel section at WalMart and stores like Target.
Here is a Waffle House free waffle coupon.
I saw a deal online for FTD free flower bouquets in certain parts of the country. This is what FDT has posted at their website:
“FTD Good Neighbor Day The 17th Annual FTD® Good Neighbor Day® holiday will take place on

There aren’t a lot of locations in NC and SC, but I did see some in rural areas.
