A heads-up to drivers who travel to South Carolina for cheaper gas, prices could be on the way up.
   
This week, the state senate is set to take up a measure that would raise the gas tax. The extra money would be used to fix the state's crumbling roads and bridges.
   
Governor Nikki Haley has promised to veto any tax increase. Currently, the average price for a gallon of regular in South Carolina is $3.21.
   
In North Carolina it's 20 cents higher at $3.41. N.C. prices are still lower than the national average -- which is $3.52.
