CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- We all want the cheapest flights possible where ever we’re going.
So will having Southwest Airlines out of Charlotte be a better deal than Southwest out of Raleigh or Greenville, South Carolina?
Playing travel agent, NBC Charlotte priced a mid-week business trip in April to Baltimore, leaving on a Monday and returning Thursday.
The cheapest web only round trip airfare was out of Charlotte, costing $136.00.
Raleigh was $174.00 and Greenville, was the most expensive at $240.00.
Baltimore’s great, but it isn’t a weekend buffet in Las Vegas.
Your cheapest trip to Sin City on Southwest for a weekend in mid April will be out of Greenville, South Carolina. The cost? $417.00.
Out of Raleigh it’ll set you back $497.00, and the most expensive web only deal NBC Charlotte found for that same weekend was $557.00 leaving Charlotte.
That’s a $140.00 difference. Here’s what we didn’t factor in to these prices. We weren’t choosy about the time of day we traveled and we didn’t care where we sat on the plane.
Those two things will have a dramatic effect on the price of your ticket. We also didn’t look into hotel packages, this was strictly airfare.
