MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) -- Exact change will no longer be needed to park in parts of downtown Myrtle Beach.

The Sun News of Myrtle Beach reported (http://bit.ly/UuVtnf) the city is installing more than 80 parking meters that accept credit cards. Workers will install the meters along Eight and Ninth avenues North.

Officials say the meters will cost about $60,000.

Some areas also have pay stations, but Downtown Redevelopment Corp. Executive Director David Sebok says individual meters are more customer-friendly.
