CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Believe it or not buying that TV on Black Friday may not be the best deal.
Consumer website Decide.com determines when to wait, and when to buy many of those hot-ticket items, like electronics.
According to them, TVs are actually cheaper at other times of the year.
"We looked at a Samsung’s 42 inch TV, very popular TV. People are looking for the sets. In the month of November, you can get it for about $700. When you hit Black Friday and all of that frenzy, it was close to $1,400 that same TV,” said Shauna from decide.com.
Shauna also warns the real Black Friday steals are often available in limited quantities and may be a brand name with lower quality components inside.
