CHESTER, S.C. – Two people are now in custody in connection with a fatal shooting at a birthday party in Chester County over the weekend.
Quinton McClinton, 24, of Chester, was arrested in Charlotte on Tuesday in a joint effort by the Chester County Sheriff's Office and the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
McClinton is charged with murder for the shooting death of 18-year-old Kendall Culp.
The Sheriff's Office arrested Desean Moses, 20, of Chester, on Sunday for his involvement in the shooting. He's facing the charge of attempted murder.
Officials say shooting erupted following an altercation between McClinton and Moses; Culp was collateral damage from shots fired by McClinton.
McClinton was also shot during the incident, authorities say, by Moses.
The incident took place at a birthday party at a home in the 700 block of Old York Road around midnight Sunday.
