CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- One person was shot in west Charlotte overnight, according to our news partner The Charlotte Observer .
The shooting happened around 2 a.m. in a parking lot along West Boulevard.
Police told the Observer that the shooting started over an argument about a traffic stop. Police said two men got into an argument and one of the men pulled a gun and shot the other man.
The victim suffered a gunshot wound to the arm and was taken to Carolinas Medical Center.
Police are still searching for the shooter.
