CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating a shooting after a home robbery in northeast Charlotte early Wednesday morning.
Police said two suspects broke into a home off of Purser Drive around 2:30 a.m. and robbed two people inside the home. One person was shot in the arm during the robbery, according to police.
The shooting to place as the suspects fled the scene, police said. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
