CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were investigating an attempted robbery in west Charlotte that left one man in the hospital with a gunshot wound in the stomach, Wednesday afternoon.
The man was shot near Nobles Avenue and taken to Carolinas Medical Center-Main with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Nobody has been arrested and there were few details available about the case Wednesday night.
