CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have slapped a Charlotte man with a laundry list of charges stemming from two separate sexual assault allegations.

The first incident was reported on Saturday, October 26. The victim told police she was sexually assaulted at 301 Campus Street by a man known to her.

The second incident was reported on Thursday, October 31, at the exact same location. The second victim went to an area hospital for treatment and to notify police.

The location is about a block away from the campus of Johnson C. Smith University.

After speaking with both victims, CMPD detectives developed 43-year-old Frederick Eugene Sullivan as the suspect in both assaults.

In both cases Sullivan was known to the victim, police say, and authorities don't consider the attacks to be random.

Sullivan is charged with eight counts of second-degree sex offense, four counts of second-degree rape, three counts of second-degree kidnapping, communicating threats, assault on a female and assault by strangulation.
