CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Two men invovled in a shooting and murder at a Charlotte nightclub have been arrested in Georgia, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.
Douglas Ubaldo Valle-Zuniga and Neris Perfecto Silva were arrested in Cobb County, Georgia early Wednesday morning in connection to the murder of Jose Jesus Hernandez-Diaz.
Police said both suspects were located and arrested by the U.S. Marshal’s Southeast Regional Task Force and taken to the Cobb County Sheriff's Office in Georgia.
Valle-Zuniga has been charged with murder and assault with a deadly weapon, intent to kill and inflicting serious injury. Silva has been charged with accessory after the fact for murder.
On Sunday night, police were called to the El Gavilan Club in the 3800 block of Driftwood Drive, off Central Avenue.
Upon arriving at the scene, police discovered 26-year-old Hernandez-Diaz dead from a gunshot wound.
Detectives say another person was shot and suffered life-threatening injuries. Police say they believe the shootings took place inside the club.
Detectives are currently headed to the Cobb County Sheriff's Office to interview the suspects
