GRANITE FALLS, N.C. -- Investigators with the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office conducted a covert operation to apprehend two people wanted on multiple outstanding warrants in Caldwell and Burke Counties.
On Tuesday, Caldwell County Sheriff's Investigators arrested Matthew Charles Minton, 24, and Morgan McKinley Sigmon, 18, during a covert operation on Peach Tree Lane in Granite Falls.
Minton and Sigmon were both wanted on multiple outstanding warrants out of Caldwell and Burke Counties.
Minton is charged with resisting a public officer, fictitious information to an officer, second-degree trespass, larceny of a motor vehicle, two counts of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, burglary/breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen property, larceny of motor fuel and failure to appear.
Minton is held in the Caldwell County Detention Center under bonds totaling $126,500.
Sigmon is charged with second-degree trespass, probation violation, failure to appear, two counts of burglary/breaking and entering, felony larceny, possession of stolen property and obtaining property by false pretense.
She's held in the Caldwell County Detention Center under $162,500 in secured bonds.
