LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. -- Half of the 40 suspects wanted in Lincoln County's drug round up are still at large, and the Sheriff's Office needs your help.
Authorities were able to locate and arrest half, and have released photos of the 20 suspects they say are still at large, wanted in connection with the undercover drug operation.
A total of approximately 152 felony drug charges are expected to be filed on the 40 suspects following a six-month long undercover operation targeting street-level dealers, officials say.
Lincoln County Sheriff David Carpenter says, “I firmly believe without the aggressive efforts of all our officers and especially our drug enforcement team we would be years behind in our abilities to track down and send these drug offenders to jail and ultimately to prison. Words can’t really express how proud I continue to be of the professional work of our drug investigators and what they have accomplished in 36 short months.”
