3 arrested for armed carjacking in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Three suspects are in custody, charged for their alleged involvement in an armed carjacking.

Monday, January 21, CMPD officers responded to a robbery in the 9900 block of John Redford Road. The victim told officers he was getting in his car after leaving a friend's house when an armed gunman ordered him out of the vehicle and get on the ground.

The victim complied with his demands, and was then approached by a second suspect, who police say removed his cellphone and wallet.

The two suspects got in the victim's car with a third person and took off, officials say.

Investigators were able to identify Mark O'Brian Ellis, 17, Jacinto Elroy  Henderson, 16, and Daterrious Dequan Johnson, 18, as the suspects in the armed carjacking.

All three are charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.
