CHERRYVILLE, N.C. -- Three people are facing criminal charges after the missing 15-year-old Lincoln County teen was located in a home in the western part of the county.
Detectives visited a home in the 1200 block of Bess Chapel Church Road in Cherryville searching for the missing teen Justin Rathbone Tuesday morning.
The detective asked the person who came to door if they'd seen the missing teen, and was told no.
A strong odor of marijuana prompted the detective to ask permission to search the residence. After receiving consent, officials located Justin the attic of the home.
A search of the home turned up marijuana, drug paraphernalia and marijuana seeds.
Emery Watts, 60, is charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He posted a $500 bond.
Joshua Alan Gilbert, 18, is charged with felony manufacturing of a controlled substance and once misdemeanor count each of possession of drug paraphernalia and resist, delay and obstruct a public officer. He posted a $5000 bond.
Lastly, 46-year-old Rebecca Kirkland Eaker, who authorities say was visiting the residence, is charged with contributing to the delinquency and neglect by a parent/other and resist, delay and obstruct a public officer. She was released on a $800 bond.
