LANCASTER, S.C. – Three men were arrested in connection with the homicide of a Lancaster store owner in March.

According to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, 23-year-old Jaquinton Tradel Blair, of Lancaster, Lajames Arteian Ross, 22, of Charlotte, and 42-year-old Richard Devauhn Stewart of Lancaster, were arrested earlier this month.

Blair and Ross were each charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery. Stewart was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery and accessory before the fact of attempted armed robbery. All three men are being held in the Lancaster County Detention Center.

Investigators have not charged any of the men with Harnish Patel’s homicide on March 2. Sheriff Barry Faile said investigators continue to work the case to identify Patel’s killer.

On March 2, Patel was found dead in the front yard of his home. Investigators said they believe that Patel was confronted by his killer when he arrived home after closing his store.

Anyone with more information regarding this case is asked to call the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office at 803-283-3388.
