3 more arrested in massive gang roundup

Three more members of the United Blood Nation gang have been arrested as part of a massive gang roundup.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Three more suspects have been arrested in what officials are calling the largest gang roundup in Charlotte history.

A total of 76 suspects are now behind bars and investigators continue to search more seven more.

Joe Jarpeh Johnson and Lavon Christopher Turner were taken into custody Friday morning in Charlotte, according to the US Attorneys Office.  Brandon Theodore Manning turned himself in to authorities Thursday night in Columbia, S.C.

The FBI is continuing to follow leads on the additional seven fugitives from Thursday's multi-agency gang takedown.

A total of 83 alleged members of the United Blood Nation gang were charged with a slew of crimes Thursday.

The alleged crimes included racketeering and murder, as well as dealing drugs and guns. According to the 163-page indictment, the criminal activity started in or around September 2009 and continued through 2017. A number of those indicted are accused of bank fraud, wire fraud, and aggravated identity theft.
