$5 million worth of meth seized in I-77 bust

IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. – Four men were arrested in Iredell County after deputies seized more than $5 million worth of methamphetamine on Interstate 77. 

According to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, detectives were monitoring an operation in northern Iredell County when deputies noticed multiple suspects exchanging packages between four vehicles at a business just off I-77. 

When the men saw the deputy, they sped away from the business with two of the vehicles traveling north on I-77 and the other two traveling south at a high rate of speed. Deputies patrolling I-77 were able to stop all of the vehicles. 

In one of the vehicles, officers found a large box with several containers of methamphetamine. One of the vehicles had a backpack with numerous bundles of cash. One of the other vehicles contained a brown paper bag with several bundles of cash.

In total, officers seized 28 pounds of meth worth $5,189,184 and over $100,000 cash from the vehicles. 

The following individuals were charged in connection with the bust: 

Rofelle Delone Nash, 36, of Marrow, Georgia. Nash was charged with felony conspiracy to transport more than 400 grams of methamphetamine, felony conspiracy to possess more than 400 grams of methamphetamine, felony trafficking of more than 400 grams of methamphetamine by transport, and felony trafficking of more than 400 grams of methamphetamine by possession. 
He was given a $2 million bond. 

Paul Edward Glover III, 28, of Charleston, West Virginia, was charged with felony conspiracy to traffic more than 400 grams of methamphetamine by transport, felony conspiracy to traffic more than 400 grams of methamphetamine by possession, and felony possession of methamphetamine. He was given a $2 million bond. 

Christian Daniel Delgado Hernandez, 32, of North Las Vegas, Nevada. He was charged with felony conspiracy to traffic more than 400 grams of methamphetamine by transport and felony conspiracy to traffic more than 400 grams of methamphetamine by possession. He was given a $2 million bond. 

John Douglas Shannell Gray, 39, of Atlanta, Georgia was charged with felony conspiracy to traffic more than 400 grams of methamphetamine by transport and felony conspiracy to traffic more than 400 grams of methamphetamine by possession. Gray was given a $1 million bond.
