ALEXANDER COUNTY, N.C. -- Alexander County officials said they used drug dealer's money to work against the dealers and growers themselves in a recent operation that netted 55 marijuana plants.
Officers seized the plants that were found growing near two homes in the eastern part of the county on Wednesday.
Officers used a 1999 Dodge Ram truck during the operation that was recently bought through previously seized drug funds.
"Thanks to this seizure, this marijuana will never hit the street to possibly be sold to young men and women in our community," said Sheriff Chris Bowman in a statement.
There are no reported arrests in connection with the seized plants.
