6 arrested after car slams into Boone home

BOONE, N.C. – Six people are facing charges after a car went barreling into a home Saturday night in Boone.

Boone Police say Wilbert Emanuel Hendricks, Jr., 31, of Boone, was driving under the influence when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a home on Forest Hills Drive, injuring an occupant of the residence.

In addition to the home, two other vehicles were struck. Police say the estimated damages top more than $100,000.
