LENOIR, N.C. -- The family of a murdered Lenoir man says they believe he was tortured.
Thursday police found the body of Raoul Dula sprawled in the front yard of a home on Flintstone Court.
Friday afternoon, 34-year old Earl Moore Jr. was arrested in connection with the death.
Investigators have not said if they know a motive for the murder, but Dula's family believes he was tortured.
"The way his face was cut up, it was horrible," said Dula's cousin, Labresha Dula.
It was terrible the way they did him," she said.
The family says they have no idea why anyone would want to hurt Dula, who they say was friendly to everyone and was forced to use a cane because of a disability.
"All I can imagine is just him trying to get away from this guy doing this to him," Labresha Dula said.
Moore was taken to the Caldwell County Jail. His first court appearance will be on Monday.
Family members say they think there might be more people involved.
Dawn Banner, another of Dula's cousin, said, "I don't think that one person could have done all that they described happened to him."
