HICKORY, N.C. -- A fire at a Hickory Walmart was intentionally set, according to police.
Firefighters responded to the incident around 1:30 a.m. Saturday at the store in the 2500 block of Highway 70 SE.
A customer and employees were able to put out the small fire in the clothing department. The fire was contained quickly.
Firefighters ventilated the building and ensured all of the flames were extinguished.
Investigators are asking for anyone with information on the fire to call the Hickory Fire Prevention Bureau at 828-323-7522 or the Hickory Police Department at 828-328-5551.
